No. Guests open a link, like shaadiplanning.app/pg/priya-and-sunny, in any browser, type their name, and instantly see their group. No install, no sign-in, no friction.
Is This Really a One-Time $25 With No Subscription?
Yes. You pay once and that's it: no monthly fee and no per-guest pricing. $25 covers your couple link, your private planner, and full group management for the entire event. The only optional extra is $10 for 1,000 texts, if you'd like to text guests when their group is up.
Can I Edit Groups After Uploading?
Yes. Sign in any time before the event and edit names or groups directly, or upload an updated list. Changes go live the moment you save.
What Format Does My Spreadsheet Need to Be In?
Whatever you've got. The simplest is a CSV with Group and Name columns (download the template from your planner), but with Smart Import you can also upload an Excel file, a photo or screenshot of your list, or a PDF. It reads every name and group and loads everything for you to review. Most couples are live in under 5 minutes.
Can I Upload a Photo, Screenshot, Excel File, or PDF of My List?
Yes. Smart Import accepts CSV, Excel (.xlsx), plain text, images and screenshots, and PDFs. It keeps people who appear in several groups (like the couple), never merges two different people who share a name, and loads everything into the editor so you can review before saving. Phone numbers and emails in text are hidden from the AI, and a photo or PDF is only read after you say so.
Is Guest Data Kept Private?
Yes. Guests can only search, a few names at a time; they can't browse the full list, and they never see phone numbers or emails. Your planner is private and never visible to guests. Guests' phone numbers and emails are deleted two days after your photo day, so there's nothing to clean up.
Can I Password Protect the Guest Link?
Yes, if you want to. Turn on Password protect the finder and guests type your password once before they search. If your wedding website has a password and shows the finder too, one unlock covers both. Leave it off and anyone with the link or the QR code can search.
What If My Guest List Changes Closer to the Wedding?
Just sign back in and upload an updated list or edit by hand. The guest link stays the same, so there's nothing to resend. Changes are instant.
Can My Wedding Planner Manage This Instead of Me?
Absolutely. Invite your planner to your wedding and they can handle everything: uploading groups, making edits, and sharing the link. Many planners upload the final groups the night before and never involve the couple at all.
